I wanted to rediscover my love for 3D model making in 3DSMax but unfortunately, as I am no longer a student, my licence expired and could no longer use it. I turned to blender and because it was brand new territory I also bought some online courses to help me along.
I can safely say that Blender is so much easier to navigate and pick up on the keyboard shortcuts. I am following along with Billy McDaniel who introduces blender to beginners by making low poly objects, the version he works on is slightly behind the newer ones but the basics are the same. The course is called 3D Modeling in Blender 2.8 for Unity Video Game Developers.
I am only half way through so I have only made the barrel and tree with rocks and branches.
Next in the lesson is a palm tree and a fence, i will update my progress once I have completed them. I am quite proud of these objects so far.
